Volunteer Program
Overview
Thanks for your interest in volunteering. At NPower Northwest, we celebrate collaboration as a central theme in our volunteer program. NPower attempts to bring the strengths of tech-savvy members of the Northwest community directly to the nonprofits in need of that expertise. In a region full of technology heavy-hitters and innovative start-ups, we rely on skilled individuals who want to share their talents to help strengthen the organizations that are hard at work creating the greater good. To realize this goal, NPower facilitates periodic Tech Coaching Days. These day-long knowledge sharing events allow community volunteers to work with nonprofits in specific content areas.
In 2011 NPower partnered with the United Way of King County to offer Social Media Coaching as one of the projects available during their September 16 Day of Caring. Twenty-five social media mavens volunteered as coaches for 23 organizations that needed help taking their social media practices to the next level. Thanks to everyone that participated and made our project and overwhelming success!
