To blog or not to blog
... is that even a valid question? Not according to Seth Godin and Tom Peters. Check out their 1.5 minutes of blog cheerleading and Kivi Leroux Miller's reflections in a post on Nonprofit Marketing Guide, and if you're like me you'll get charged up to write.

Godin claims "It doesn't matter if anyone reads it. What matters is the humility that comes from writing it... from thinking about what you're going to say." Peters steps it up with "No single thing in the last 15 years professionally has been more important than blogging."
I agree with Peters and Godin about the important role writing plays in organizing your thoughts. At NPower Seattle we seek to be a thought leader in nonprofit technology, and we've made a collective commitment to blog more often (and well) to share best practices and resources. Otherwise the knowledge stays locked up in our heads, gets shared sporadically with one client at a time, or lies forgotten in the disorganized shuffle of our schedules.
Here's to trying it. Let us know what you think!
