Imagine being posed a question like this: "What are your next aspirations for technology at your organization? What could be different if cost were not an issue?" What would you say?
We ask five IT leaders from local nonprofits this question among others at a discussion today about nonprofit technology. Their answers were thoughtful and varied:
- Provide access to the wealth of data we have online, with real time access, instead of waiting to publish annually in book form.
- Create more cohesiveness among our technology solutions. Our website is fine and we love our Salesforce database, but I'd love it if the two talked to each other better.
- Get everyone fully trained to use the tools they have. Training is key to effectiveness.
- Be more customer focused. Allow our clients to access key information and interact with us online.
Ok, now you've had a few moments to think about it and you have a few examples to springboard from. What's your answer?
