NPower hosted the first free brown bag workshop of 2012 yesterday, bringing together a great group of nonprofit staffers to chat about Google Analytics. The discussion focused on utilizing the tool not to look simply at numbers, but to examine how people are finding your site, how they are using it, and how your online presence can help you reach your online goals. Be sure to check out the knowledge center on our website for plenty of Google Analytics resources including a brown bag slide deck, webinar recording, and handouts from today's presentation.

The room was filled with representatives from a broad range of nonprofits including 501 Commons, Casa Latina, Disability Rights Washington, Hunger Intervention Program, King County Library System, Path With Art, Powerful Voices, Ronald McDonald House, Seattle Works, a duo from the Washington Safety Restraint Coalition, and a whole gaggle of folks from Within Reach. It was nice to start the new year off right: gathered in a room full of friends and colleagues learning to utilize technology to build our capacity and work more effectively.

The next installment of our free brown bag series takes place on Wednesday, January 17 with Twitter 101. We'll be sharing our top Twitter tips and taking a field trip through the Twitterverse in an effort to demystify this social media tool. As always, it's free and we'll provide the dessert. We hope to see you there.

Be sure to check out the online training calendar and the 'new in 2012' training flier for information on all of our upcoming trainings. Here's to a new year filled with nonprofit friends and a commitment to continuing education!
