Discovery Blitz - showing the potential with maps
The “Showing the Potential with Maps” team is off to a running start this morning. When I stopped by their group to check on progress, they were clustered in a pod and hard at work at their own computers. The team’s concept was to find ways to utilize existing mapping technologies to provide valuable information to nonprofits.

The team, led by Patrick and supported by Ash, Laura, and Jesse, is full of developers, so they immediately got down to business and started writing code. Their hope is to have a demo-able product to show off at our end of day presentations. Their current direction involves “incorporating geo-located volunteer opportunities into an organization’s website,” according to Patrick. Sounds fancy…and awesome!
