Everyone in a nonprofit development shop knows how important it is to enter donations into a database in a timely fashion. They also know how tedious this process can be, especially after a big batch of donations comes in after, say, a year-end appeal or an annual event. Our Batch Gift Entry team set out to find an efficient and flexible way to enter multiple donations at a time, from a single page within a Salesforce database.

They also know how tedious this process can be, especially after a big batch of donations comes in after, say, a year-end appeal or an annual event. Our Batch Gift Entry team set out to find an efficient and flexible way to enter multiple donations at a time, from a single page within a Salesforce database.
I stopped in to check on the team a few minutes ago as they were scrambling to wrap-up their work and prep for the project presentations that are taking place in about 20 minutes. Our check-in was quick, but they were able to share that the last two days of work were successful and have revealed proof of concept. They have a demo-able product to share during their presentation, though it is far from being ready for prime-time.
As the person responsible for donation entry into our Salesforce system, I am excited to see what they have come up with!
