Peg Giffels

Peg is a master at sharing the story of NPower’s community impact with donors and volunteers. No one knows NPower’s story quite like Peg…she’s been working here for over ten years. Peg started at NPower on the education team as a trainer and manager before stepping into her current role on the community engagement team. Before coming to NPower, she managed fundraising and operations at the Northwest Federation of Community Organizations.

Peg is a master at sharing the story of NPower’s community impact with donors and volunteers. No one knows NPower’s story quite like Peg…she’s been working here for over ten years. Peg started at NPower on the education team as a trainer and manager before stepping into her current role leading NPower's fundraising, communications and volunteer programs.  Before coming to NPower, she managed fundraising and operations at the Northwest Federation of Community Organizations and supported students in the Education program at Antioch University.

Outside of work, Peg spends time volunteering at her daughter’s elementary school and giving her support to Seattle’s only nonprofit yoga studio, the Samarya Center. She also enjoys conga drumming and playing the ukulele “badly, but with gusto!”

Favorite tech tool: The One Bus Away app – “It’s so practical!”

Most exciting recent project: “Right now, I’m pretty excited about our new logo and website!”

Favorite coffee drink: “I’m becoming a tea lady – Earl Grey tea latte.”

Fun fact: Peg once walked 800 miles across France and Spain on the Santiago de Compostela.
