Megan Karch - President

Megan has served as Executive Director of FareStart for the last eight years. FareStart, a social entrepreneurial organization dedicated to transforming the lives of homeless men and women in the Seattle region, operates a culinary job training and placement program through their downtown Seattle restaurant and catering business. Prior to joining FareStart, Megan lived in the Baltimore/Washington DC area where she held the position of Vice President of Vocational Services for Humanism, a nonprofit human services agency, for 11 years.

Megan has served as Executive Director of FareStart for the last eight years. FareStart, a social entrepreneurial organization dedicated to transforming the lives of homeless men and women in the Seattle region, operates a culinary job training and placement program through their downtown Seattle restaurant and catering business. Prior to joining FareStart, Megan lived in the Baltimore/Washington DC area where she held the position of Vice President of Vocational Services for Humanism, a nonprofit human services agency, for 11 years. She has 20 years of nonprofit experience working with individuals with disabilities, welfare to work, homeless, or otherwise hard to employ.

Megan currently serves as a President-Elect at the Executive Alliance, member of the Governors State Advisory Board on Homelessness, board member of Kitchens with Mission, and as a member of the Downtown Seattle Association Human Services Committee. Megan has been on the NPower board since 2008 and began her role as President in 2012.
